Join us on a creative journey into the world of pottery with our 4-class Wheel Throwing series! Perfect for those new to ceramics or looking to refresh their skills, each of the four 2-hour sessions provide comprehensive instruction into the art of throwing clay on the potter's wheel as well as glazing your pieces.
Sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm-8pm.
Led by experienced instructors, this hands-on class will guide you through the fundamental techniques of wheel throwing in a supportive and engaging environment. You'll learn the step-by-step process of preparing clay, centering it on the wheel, and shaping it into various forms, including cylinders, bowls, and simple vessels.
Through demonstrations and personalized instruction, you'll gain proficiency in essential wheel throwing skills such as pulling walls, shaping, and trimming. We'll also cover basic principles of clay properties, studio safety, and proper tool usage to ensure a solid foundation for your pottery practice.
No prior experience is necessary to join this class—just a willingness to learn and a passion for creativity! Whether you're a complete novice or have dabbled in pottery before, our Wheel Throwing class series offers a fun and rewarding introduction to this timeless art form.
