  • Enjoy hands-on creative projects
  • Are curious about learning new art techniques
  • Can follow step-by-step instructions in a group setting
  • Are comfortable working independently with instructor guidance
  • Feel excited about making art rather than unstructured free play

This program works best for students who are ready to participate in a structured, instructor-led learning environment and who enjoy exploring materials while building skills.

  • Need one-on-one supervision or individualized care
  • Struggle significantly with following group instructions
  • Prefer free play or open-ended activity without structure
  • Have difficulty working safely with shared tools and materials

Our goal is to create a positive, supportive studio experience for all students. Setting clear expectations helps ensure that everyone — students, instructors, and families — has a successful and enjoyable week.

Still unsure?

If you have questions about whether this camp is a good fit for your child, we’re happy to help. Please reach out before registering, and we’ll be glad to talk through the program with you.

Camp Guidelines

To help ensure a positive experience for all students, we ask families to review the following camp guidelines before the first day of camp.

  • What To Wear

Campers should wear comfortable clothing that can get messy. Many of our projects involve paint, clay, and other art materials that may stain clothing. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety in the studio.

  • What To Bring

Students should bring a water bottle each day. All art materials and tools for the projects are provided by the studio.

  • Studio Safety

Artisan Kids Art Camp takes place in a working art studio. Students will be guided in safe studio practices including proper tool use, respectful handling of materials, and keeping workspaces organized.

  • Drop Off/Pick Up

Parents or approved guardians must sign students in and out each day. Students will only be released to individuals listed on the registration form with a photo id.

First Day of Camp

The first day of Artisan Kids Art Camp is designed to help students feel comfortable in the studio while giving parents a clear understanding of how the week will run.

Early Arrival & Studio Welcome (First Day Only)

On the first day of camp, families are invited to arrive at 9:15am for a brief welcome and orientation. During this time, students and parents will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet the instructors
  • Complete enrollment verification
  • Confirm emergency contact information
  • See where students will be working during the week
  • Take a short studio tour

This short orientation helps students become familiar with the studio environment before camp begins.

Enrollment Verification

To ensure student safety, a parent or guardian must sign in students on the first day and verify enrollment details. We may ask to confirm identification and the individuals authorized for daily pick-up.

Getting Settled

After the brief welcome, students will begin the camp day with a short creative warm-up activity while parents say goodbye. This helps campers ease into the studio environment and start the week feeling comfortable and inspired.

Regular Drop-Off for the Rest of the Week

After the first day, drop-off will follow the normal camp schedule beginning at 9:30am. Parents or guardians will sign students in and out each day.

Helping Students Feel Comfortable

Our goal is to create a welcoming studio environment where students feel safe, supported, and excited to create. Instructors will guide campers through the studio space, introduce materials, and review basic studio practices to help everyone start the week with confidence.
