Wall Pocket Vases: Hand Built Pottery

Design and build a decorative ceramic wall-hanging vase using slab construction techniques. This class focuses on structure, clean lines, and secure mounting design.

No experience is necessary — we’ll guide you through every step.

What You’ll Make
• One-Two hand-built ceramic wall hanging vases

What To Expect
• Instruction in slab construction and shaping
• Techniques for creating secure hanging features
• Surface texture and decorative detailing
• Guidance on proper drying and firing

Students will return in approximately 2 weeks to glaze their piece. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup about 1 week after glazing.

• Clay
• Hand-building tools
• Texture tools
• Kiln bisque firing
• Glazes (during glazing session)
• Final kiln firing
