Garden Birdhouse Pottery Workshop

Create a decorative and functional ceramic birdhouse using foundational hand-building techniques. This workshop focuses on slab construction, structure, and surface detail to build a durable outdoor piece.

No experience is necessary — we’ll guide you through every step.

What You’ll Make
• One hand-built ceramic birdhouse

• Guidance on shaping and structural stability
• Surface texture and decorative detailing options
• Explanation of drying and firing process

Students will return in approximately 2 weeks to glaze their piece. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup about 1 week after glazing.

• Clay
• Hand-building tools
• Texture tools and stamps
• Kiln bisque firing
• Glazes (during glazing session)
• Final kiln firing
